Sue Rowe has had a passion for the arts her whole life. Shows like “Fame” and “Solid Gold” were her inspiration as a child. Shortly after graduating High School she moved to Boston , MA . That is where she got her start. Her first booking was promo work at a Stop and Shop grocery store handing out boxes of Life Cereal in a grocery story off Harvard square. She would exclaim “Extra, extra eat all about it! Life cereal has 13 essential vitamins and nutrients. Would you like to try a box today?” And the next one was the Coke-Pepsi taste test. She laughs thinking back to the experience. From there she moved to Maine and worked on her first films with the International Film and Television Workshops in Rockport , Maine .
Now 17 years later from her humble beginnings, Sue forges forward with her passion in Film and Television work. She has had the pleasure to work on many different projects in a diverse range of roles. As she continues her acting career she is now looking forward to polishing her skills behind the camera and writing scripts.
The first film she co-wrote, co-produced and played the lead in, made its way into the first festival it was entered in, during the month of January, 2008. “Bluetiful”, a 27 minute short, is bound to have a great festival run this year. She is looking forward to the adventures this will lead her on.
Between projects she spends time with her family, working in her garden, on interior design projects, singing and writing scripts. She loves to stay busy and doesn’t want to waist one second of enjoying the life they have and the things heaven has put on earth for them to enjoy. Others often wonder how she has time to do it all. She says sleep is the only thing she has a hard time fitting in at this stage in her life.
Sue loves her craft and knows this is what she is supposed to be doing. Working is never a burden but a blessing. With each job she finds herself closer to her ultimate goal, to one day be the founder of her own production studio. She says “It will be a vehicle for artists of all ages; to learn skills in front and behind the camera. To have the ability to share their stories through the medium of film, and to create films with great messages that will benefit the lives of others for good”.
She constantly stands by her mottos. “I AM…. to inspire, to create, to motivate people; to live life, love life and enjoy the journey” and her new found one “Whether you can or you can’t you are right”. She believes we all have the ability to follow our dreams if we never let others or ourselves crush them.
